Designer Notes: "I wanted something that was very stretchy and that would fit next-to-skin. We went with a more form-fitted approach which makes the Bomber Mountain Rib Crew a great activewear sweater. As a case study I wore this sweater on top of a base-layer wool t-shirt on a 2.5 mile mountain hike carrying 50 lbs of kids and gear at an outdoor temperature of about 60F when we started. The trail was marked "strenuous" due to the elevation gain and rock hopping. Starting off I was pleasantly comfortable both in body temperature and in comfort with the stretchy fabric while carrying a pack and sometimes another kid in the arms. At peak exertion where I worked up a good sweat I cooled off quickly when resting as the moisture seemed to wick away from the skin very effectively. Nearing the top of the hike and entering some open terrain with lots of direct sun (probably upper 70's in temp) I took the sweater off. Overall I was very pleased with the performance. I can see myself wearing this sweater on early morning jogs, sleeping in it while camping, and as a mid-layer in cold weather."
