Gem City Shawl Advanced Beginner
Designed by Monica Wesley of Em Lyn Knits
The Gem City Shawl is an asymmetrical triangle shawl that features a medley of garter stitch, stockinette stitch, eyelet lace, knotted openwork, and two-color waffle check. The shawl is knitted flat, and the asymmetrical shape is achieved by decreasing one stitch at the start of all right-side rows and then also increasing two stitches at the end of the same rows. The pattern sequence is knitted three times with each color being substituted by another color in each subsequent iteration. The pattern is rated as Advanced Beginner.
