Forester Headband and Fingerless Mitts Knitting Kit

The yarn is a combination of our popular Cody sport weight and our undyed Sport Tweed in Gypsum. The headband also sports a lovely Latvian Braid border, giving it a nice finishing touch. Kath dedicated this pattern to the men and women who work in the timber industry: foresters, loggers, log haulers, firefighters, and all those who manage and protect our precious forests.

2 skeins of MMW 2-ply sport tweed in "Gypsum"(2) 185yds/2oz/56gms
1 skein of MMW 2-ply sport "Cody" 185yds/2oz/56gms
Suggested Needle Size: US 1 and US 2, or size to give gauge (needles not included)
Knitting Patterns for both the Mitts and the Headband

Alternate dyed skeins while knitting to distribute the color evenly
Hand wash by soaking in lukewarm water with a mild detergent
Let the fabric soak for 15 minutes, gently squeeze out excess moisture
Roll fabric between clean dry towels to remove moisture
Lay flat and shape to air-dry
