The Liddy Slouch Hat is a light-weight hat with ribbed cuff and a cable design.
The Liddy is named after Ellen Liddy Watson, AKA Cattle Kate. Cattle Kate was a pioneer of Wyoming who was later hung for cattle rustling. Cattle Kate, a tall, dark haired, sturdy woman had a turbulent past which made it easy to lay blame on her for cattle rustling, while the behind the scenes story may have been that the property that she homesteaded controlled the water of a downstream large cattle rancher.
Mountain Meadow Wool's Liddy is made with Targhee wool which was grown on the Geis Ranch in Campbell County Wyoming. Like Cattle Kate the Liddy sturdy is a sturdy hat fit for the West, but certainly a good deal of class.
